  For my own personal information, I was hoping that someone here could give me the outline of information of "new light" that came down recently that said that active JW's must not associate in any way, shape or form with "outsiders", like those df'd and da'd, even if they are immediate family.

  My mother has just informed me that her phone call this evening was only to advise me of this information, and that I am supposed to "understand" why she has to do this. And that this goodbye was forever, no matter what occurs in our separate lives.

  I know this is killing her, but she will be the faithful dub to the end. :-(

  Well my mother got DF last year and she tells me that some Witnesses talk to her in the street, and others shun her. I get the impression theres some personal interpretation of the rules going on at the moment, and that how each dub behaves depends upon their own personal interpretation and inclinations. Some are harsher than others. I could be wrong.

  Its all too Whacky, isnt it.

  If youre a parent you might study with your disfellowshipped child. If your a child you may have a moral obligation to care for your sick DF Mother. If your brother is DF you cant eat with him, but you might have business dealings with him as long as they are " kept to a minimum". But the best thing of all is not even to say Hello to a DF person.

  So bloody stupid and convoluted, I cant believe it.

  This is what happens in a church that has all the revealed , simplified truths and answers to lifes every situation. They still have to fill the time of their leaders and fill the pages of their magazines. So they engage in petty interpretation of doctrine, twisting it into endless convolutions and contradictions. They got nothing better to do with their time.
