Plainfield, Connecticut is the scene of a current battle involving the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. Will effect JWs. if adverse decision. Personally, I don't feel that one should be forced to stand for the Pledge, nor should they be forced to recite it. There are two articles in the Norwich Bulletin to look for: "Plainfield officials say students should stand for pledge" and scroll down to "Flag issue ablaze in Plainfield."

Oh for crying outloud. I'm all for patriotism (especially now) but dredging up this nonissue is a waste of time and money. Are the schools in Conneticut so great that the legislature can't find anything else to tell them to do? Is the graduation rate 100%? Is everybody reading above grade level?
Educate the kids and let them make up their own minds about this stuff.

Patriotism is the last refuge of scoundrels, including certain desperate or misguided politicians.

I think the organization should leave this matter in Jehovah's hands.
Do you think they will?

No Nathan, you are a bit confused. They leave child molestation in Jehovahs hands but issues like the pledge; this they will take immediate action on.
It would be funny if it were not so true. Sick Bastards!
