For those who like motorcycles. This is my Dad in the early 30s. It's an old Harley or Indian, I forget which, but I think Harley. He enjoyed life and also flew an airplane.

Oh Ken........what a wonderful old picture! Hope you got that one framed! I am not good at identifying exactly what kind of bike that is, but I do know it is pretty kewl looking! Thanks for sharing!
Looks like your dad did enjoy life. I just sold my old motorcycle two weeks ago (urrrgggg) didnt want too, but needed truck tires more. Im not sure either what kind of bike that is. I know my dad had an indian. They were really popular back then.
That is a Harley.... 1927-29 era. I had a '27 for a while.
The engine is 74 cubic inches... the seat behind the driver is called a buddy seat... the round thing near the headlight is a tool box (imagine putting wrenches in a coffee can and hitting bumpy roads).
These bikes cost about 350 new, back then. They were all Olive Drab in color (green) and supposedly, the first stop after buying one was to a paint shop.
I collect old pics of bikes, I snagged the one you posted for my collection.
Thanks

Animal,
In Centralia, Washington there is locally famous diner. I believe it's called the Country Kitchen. It's decorated with a mixture of ecletic farm memorbilia. In the lobby in a glass case is a perfectly restored 1918 Harley. It has the original decals and everything.
I looks more like a bicycle with a belt-driven motor. I assume its very valuable.

The nice thing with these bikes are.. its a sellers market. Take mine for example.... I will sell it in a heartbeat, but for my price. That 1918 piece would fetch a nice penny too.
Did it have white tires? Next time you are near there, can you snag me some photos of it?
