Kids, Microchips and Democracy.

  It seems many parents in the UK are looking into the possibilty of having their children "chipped" with a hidden implant so's they can be traced should they be abducted. This follows in the wake of the horrific double murder of Holly and Jessica, the 2 Cambridgeshire girls who were brutally killed a few weeks ago.

  The Saudi ambassador to Great Britain, Ghazi Algosaibi, said: "If you had a democracy in Britain, you would have the death penalty tomorrow, especially after the death of those two girls".

  Maybe he has a point.

  The horrible thing about this is that if this process becomes widespread possible abductors will only target children in poorer areas where the kids parents cannot afford to chip their children.

  This doesn't resolve anything, it certainly doesn't solve the root cause of the problem does it? How very sad.

  If they had a democracy in Saudi then all the eladers would probably be beheaded!

  It does seem strange that people will pay hundreds of pounds a year to have vehicle tracking devices should their car be stolen but something to track your real precious things (kids BTW ... not laptop) are relatively rare.

  What if the abductors have metal detectors and knives? Sounds like a gruesome situation to me. Chipping your kids is a double-edged sword.

  While on the surface "chipping" may seem like the way to go, I'd give serious consideration to possible negative ramifications of such. But then I'm one of those individuals that trust very little put out by the government...the concept of "chipping" for any reason sounds more like New World Order to me. Sorta like giving up gun's for sake of combating terrorism...yeah, right.

  I'd image there will be plenty of people though who will chant their mantra about this novel way in which we can safeguard our children. The irony...like "save the children" at Waco; just before they were torched. It's absolutely shameful how government uses our precious children for pushing their globalization agenda. Naw, no chipping for this family. Good post. Thanks.

  I don't believe that a chip for the purpose of finding an abducted child really fits the definition of the "mark of the wild beast". It's just an advanced version of an ID bracelet.

  It's clear in Revelation that the "mark" is one that goes hand-in-hand with worship of the beast - it is also a large player in financial matters (buying & selling). There's been a lot of speculation about what the "mark" is - some believe it's the American doller, others think it's the UPC codes on products. Personally - I don't think it will be that suttle - it will be clear to Christians when it shows up.

  As for the chip thing - I'm a Christian and don't have a problem "biblical wise" with the chip - but I probably wouldn't put one into my kids until it had been tested a long time for health side effects.

  The best defense is a good offense - know where your kids are all all times (those little ones anyways). I see so many little ones running around stores - no parents in sight - or playing at the park and their parents are hundreds of yards away with their back turned engaged in conversation with other adults. I live by a gradeschool and we have been notified that a sex offender lives in our area. Yet I see little ones (kindergarden & first grade) walking to school by themselves - THAT scares me!!

  The pedophiles are the ones that need the chip.That way we know where they are at all times.If they go near a school...busted!!If it is the mark of the beast then they are marked not the children.
