During afternoon testimony, elder Frank Mott-Trille, 72, whose 36-year-old son Jonathan remains one of Boer's best friends, described how angry he and his son became when they learned of how the church was handling Boer's case.
Mott-Trille, convinced the elders were trying to protect Boer's father, looked close to tears as he described a congregation meeting that took place several months after Boer met with her father, Palmer.
Her father had been invited to deliver a prayer to the congregation, an honour usually reserved for senior members who are held in high esteem by the elders for their spirituality, Mott-Trille said.
Jonathan stormed out of the meeting and his father followed.
"I found him with his hands on the front of the car, and he was being sick," Mott-Trille testified. "He turned to me and said, 'Frank, how can you possibly say this is Christian?' I've never been able to answer him."
Incredible.

Pathetic and disgusting. I am so GLAD this elder is and was there for her.
I love how they try to cloud the issues: It's NOT whether being abused or being a JW messed up her life. It's HOW they treated HER v. how they treated her pervert father; it's how, as she said, everyone turned against her because they assumed she was LYING when the elders stuck up for her pervert father!
We ALL know how we are "trained" as JWs of what to do and what NOT to do (see psychiatrists, etc.). It makes me FUME that they try to downplay this very REAL part of being a JW.
Arrrggggh!
Thanks for posting this, Kenneson.
Grits
Keneson: Thanks for handling the updates on this story.

Mott-Trille, an Oxford-schooled lawyer and Rhode scholar , is involved in separate litigation against the church, Stevenson noted earlier in the day.
This guy sounds very interesting, what's the story on him?
I feel disgusted reading about this case. I hope she wins!
