My personal 9/11

I don't mean to make light of the 9/11 in any way, so I apologize if this post seems to be in poor taste. But 9/11 especially sticks in my mind for another reason....9/11/81 was when I married my first wife, a disaster beyond description in itself.

We separated about two weeks shy of our 18th Anniversary....today would have been our 21st Anniversary if we had remained married.

Funny, I never thought about it until the 9/11 tradegy occurred. Now, whenever I hear about the WTC disaster, I am reminded that 9/11 date has hurt me badly twice. But, fortunately, not as badly as others have been hurt.

I am not complaining at all....it is just that once separated, I never gave much thought of my wedding anniversary...and now I am constantly reminded of it. Because for me, 9/11 marks the anniversary of two tragedies.

Richard - Here's a thought: What if the BORG changes it policies on child molesters on the next 9/11. Would that help a little?

    Peace - LL

Richard ..for you it is a tragedy..as for the destruction of the twin towers it is an Atrocity...Tragedy just isn't a strong enough word.
