I think there was a KM article a couple months back (or even last month?) regarding email stories being passed on by JW's and that they basically should do this in case the stories are not accurate. It basically said they have "a channel" providing them with the information they need and they don't need these other avenues.

Then there was the major insert in the KM about 2 years ago discussing the dangers of the internet. It was basically a one-sided article that focused on apostasy and the internet.

I don't think you will find any articles outright stating that the internet is forbidden or advising JW's not to consider anything in the mass media, but things more along the lines of subtle comments designed to influence JW's to conform to a certain conduct.

I don't know if this comes under hypocrisy or just stupidity...you decide. But it strikes me as gallish that the same group criticizing Christendom for taking pagan rituals into Christianity, and taking the attitude that by doing so they were "cleansed" of their former pagan origins, should disparage use of the Internet--except for THEIR site, of course.

The laundry soap of hubris will not keep one "without spot from the world" be they Christendom or the WBTS. Wallow in mud and it becomes part of your outer garment.
