So, we've already kind of had the discussion about the 10/15/2015 study edition of the Watchtower, especially the article entitled "The Naive Person Believes Every Word."

    ----

But one thing I noticed about this article...the web address and HTML code has a different title.

The HTML title is "Is it true because it is on the internet?"

    The web address is: http://www.jw.org/en/publications/magazines/w20151015/true-because-it-is-on-internet/

    ...

The Governing Body is really REALLY afraid of the internet.

Damage control damage control damage control

The org is doing nothing now but dancing around putting out fires. The internet is a big one, but the R&F are acting very zealous and eating this crap up much to my disappointment.

They know the weak minds of cult zombies read this as "nothing you read outside of Jw.org on the internet is true". Yes they present it as somethings you may read are not true, but the F.O.G. translates it to everything bad about us is lies!

The article has one main thrust:

And what should you do if you find slanderous news about Jehovah’s organization on the Internet? Such material should be firmly rejected.

    The message?

'While the rest of the news should be treated with caution, and if you have time (who does?) make sure what you read is true before spreading it, but if it's bad news about the organization, you don't even have to bother because it must be false.'

    Talk about double-speak.

BTW, the URL is likely that way for SEO reasons. (Search Engine Optimization)

"IF A person could not trust everything that was written in a newspaper over 200 years ago, the same applies to much of what can be read on the Internet in the 21st century."

But we are smarter because we believe stories from bronze age goat herders, that they stole and massaged from other established civilizations foundation myths, and talk about our desert god we borrowed from pagans...

So maybe they are on to something...

The Society was in a damned if you do......damned if you don't position If they didn't develop a strong web presence.

Now anyone who is just a little bit curious can step away from JW.org and access everything the Society doesn't want you to know about their history and flip flops.

This is also impacting the Mormons. Here's a good look at what the Mormon Church is now going through because all of their history, doctrines and Mormon science that they have promoted or covered up is now online.

The age of information is changing everything.

I definitely firmly reject any slanderous information against JWs that I find online. Unfortunately for them, there's not an abundance of slander - most of it is true and firmly backed up with facts.
