they had crosses on the wall and sung church songs they dont do that at our kingdom hall...was it differant back in 1975? aslo they threatened ppl with hell fire!!
In the book she is a JW. I reckon the TV adaptation was just badly researched, as the book doesn't really mention any beliefs apart from that the world was about to end. Shoddy scripting IMO.
alot of progs that do jws seem to be badly researched. dont understand why when its so easy to find out .
the play was quite good though .specially the bit where she wakes up in hospital and her boy friend has become enlightened by the mother and has changed from a mod to an anorak .was like somthing from an alien taking over earth movie.

On the other hand, it portraid them as a pretty standard "christian" movement, which may not be so good. But then who'd be attracted to a bunch of dark slightly scary looking people who thought, wrongly, that the world will end?
it did made them look pretty scary and oddball..and feaky i thought .christendom rarely goes door to door anyway s you have to go to church to see the local priest screaming at the congregation.
easy all the ppl that dont know they ever got it wrong woul join.
you cant say scary dark ppl its not pc
