The Watchtower Ain't Moses!

The Watchtower Society has no right to claim the authority
    of Moses for themselves.

How do I know? The Bible says so.

    Here's Numbers 12:6-8:
"And he went on to say: "Hear my words, please. If there
came to be a prophet of yours for Jehovah, it would be
in a vision I would make myself known to him. In a dream
I would speak to him. Not so my servant Moses!... Mouth to mouth
I speak to him, and not riddles; and the appearance of Jehovah is what he
beholds. Why, then did you not fear to speak against my servant, Moses?"

So, in the midst of rebellion, God utters a simple truth. You can't get
closer to Him than direct conversation, face to face. Everything else
is second or third class - and ambiguous.

The Society rejected prophetic dreams and miraculous signs years ago.
Since the Watchtower has uttered SO MANY false prophecies over many
decades ( the End will come by 1918, 1925, the 1914 generation
won't pass away, etc) THEY DON'T EVEN COME UP TO THE first level
of "a prophet" with "a vision" - much less any Moses-like authority.

They are 'cut and paste' redactors, who patch together platitudes,
half-truths and endless quotations out of context to manufacture
the appearance of being spokesmen for God. They want all the privileges
of being prophets with NONE of the responsibility of being PROVED
    AS FALSE PROPHETS.

And their claim of being the "faithful and discreet slave"?

How faithful is it to hold on to a deadly doctrine like no blood
transfusion - LONG AFTER THEY KNOW IT HAS BEEN DISPROVED?

How discreet is it for them to REJECT THE ADVICE OF THEIR OWN LAWYERS
AGAIN AND AGAIN - and end up humiliated and sued in public because
they covered up an evil like child molesting?

Moses? They want to be 'Moses'?

I'll tell you who they are

Jimmy Swaggart! - who, when he got caught with his pants down,
produced reams of literature asserting his God-given authority
as pastor - to maintain his claim on the checkbooks of his deluded
    sheep!

    History does repeat itself
May it do so again, as these spiritual hijackers in the Watchtower
    encounter shameful defeat.

    Powerful argument, Met!

Excellent usage of scripture and reasoning (dreams, visions boo-hoo'd by the WTS), and they sure haven't met Jehovah on the mountain top for a private conversation, that's for sure.

    Spiritual Hijacking

    Well said!

But remember, even Moses made mistakes, just like the Watchtower.

Yeah, minimus, that's true, but MOSES had a ONE-WITNESS POLICY FOR RAPE! (Deuteronomy Chapter 22)

"even Moses made mistakes, just like the Watchtower."

    Minimus,

Can you tell the diference between Moses and the WTS?

That's a question all JWs should be asked because many of them really don't seem to know.

Another line the JWs use is "even the apostles made mistakes."

Fact is, the WTS is not Moses or the apostles or any one else God has used in the past.

The JWs just can't seem to recognize the vast differences between them and those used by God in the Bible.

    Those used by God.-----------------------The WTS

#1---- performed miracles-------------------Has NOT performed miracles.
#2---- Made true prophecies-----------------Has made FALSE prophecies.
#3---- Pointed to Jesus as the--------------Points to themselves saying, a persom
only way to salvation.----------------Must become apart of the WTS to maybe
    -------------------------------------------be saved.
#5---- always had proof that they were
being used by God.---------------------------Has NO proof. NEVER had proof. NEVER will.

And there are many, many other differences.

So with all the differences, JWs still think the WTS is what they say they are.

This is exactly how cults get started.
Someone can say something others might like to hear.
The person offers no proof to back up what is being said.
But people are so desperate to believe it that they throw their God given powers of reason out the window.
