.........the WTBTS could soon be telling their loyal followers that to even read a local newspaper "could" be WRONG and sinful. (Also, as far as that goes, any magazine that makes any coverage of the march tomorrow, like People, or Newsweek, etc.) No doubt, even the journals and tabloids that present news will be unacceptable to the borg, and put in the same category as any and all other apostate literature. After all, the world is the world, right? And, of course, we understand that a "strong suggestion of correct behavior" by the borg, if not followed, could result in disfellowshipment and shunning.
Yes, I can actually "hear" the CO's instructing their little "do-bee" sheep to only read literature from the borg. They will be told that anything of importance as far as "news" will be distributed in the form of a new "borg implant", which can only be received by attending a special meeting, (to be announced). How wonderful it is that the light continues to become brighter and brighter.
Once implanted, they will just plug into the instrument, and receive the "spiritual food" at the proper time. This will also cut down on the production of paper literature and save them lots of money in the long run. Also, as the great "persecution from apostates" progresses , it might actually become unnecessary to attend meetings. For safety, since they are being judged and labeled by the world so harshly (Satan), they can just go to a secret location, and "plug in" to receive their "dose of borg truth."
They can probably make it look like a hearing aid, so no one will notice. Of course, the zombie-like trace and walk might give them away. Bumping into walls or tripping might give them away.
Levity My Friends, ...just a bit of levity. It's really the WTBTS that's the problem. But, it's the followers that give it the strength to continue.
