Besides the great Franz books, anyone read anything else JW related that they can recommend?

Indirectly, The Road Less Traveled By Dr. Peck touches on many JW "related" issues. I have no doubt Dr. Pick has had more than one JW on his couch. Franz cites Dr. Peck's book more than once in his book.........

Besides "Crisis of Conscience" by Franz, I have read the "Orwellian World of JW's", and "Awakening of A Jehovah's Witness", by Diane Wilson.

There is only so much I can read. It torn at my heart, and made me realize more than ever, what a deceptive group they are, and how much they damage individuals and families.

    Hi,

I think that these books are very helpful in clearing some of the fog and begin to deprogram: The author was an elder, and you know that no one understands a dub better than a dub.

Answering Jehovahs Witnesses Subject by Subject by David A. Reed

Jehovah's Witnesses Answered Verse by Verse by David A. Reed

You can find these books and lots of others at www.freeminds.org

"A People for His Name," by Timothy White, published in the late 60s, was very good. I hope that someone can get permission to put it up on the internet. (might be hard to do, as Tim White was a pseudonym) --VM44

There are a lot of good recommendations on this post. I would highly recommend "Combatting Cult Mind Control" by Steven Hassan. He is a leading expert on exit-counseling. He has a newer book as well. His works have helped me not only deprogram, but what I learned has helped me in helping my friends and relatives that are still in the JW cult control.
