You are correct, of course, Lee. Litigation is the only language the WT understands.

Hi Lee. I think it's wonderful that you support litigation against the Society. But, without any disrespect intended, it took you 5 years to reach this conclusion? I agree too, that, the Watchtower only understands money. Hopefully, if any need your fine resources, they will get the help that they need. P.S.....I have always appreciated your continuous work on the blood issue. Hopefully, some day you may get all the results that you desire.

And I appreciate the years you put into your efforts for reform. Keep up the excellent work.

It is good to see this issue front and center along with child abuse since they are often so closely related.

I can't imagine anything more devastating than to see a loved one die refusing 'forbidden' treatment and then watch the Society allow what once was forbidden. It makes a mockery of everything these people lived and died for and everything they thought they were being loyal to.

    Yay, Lee!!!

It was disrespectful, IMNSHO, for you to ask "It took you 5 years to reach this conclusion?" Did you read the press release on the link? Did you not see it mentioned that AJWRB was trying to REFORM the WT from within for the past several years, but now realizes the futility of that approach? AJWRB has been doing a VERY good work, please don't Minim[ize] that. If I were Lee and the others involved, I would be very hurt and insulted by your flip remark.

I didn't mean to sound flip. I did read the info. But, we've known for years that reform is impossible.Whatever Lee Elder has done or tried to do is not unappreciated. I understand the approach that he has taken and the reasons for the approach. But if the post stated a lack of support for litigation, that would be his option. But, I would think that he would support this issue anyway.

But, we've known for years that reform is impossible.

The gains in what fractions are now acceptable may be due in part to the persistance of AJWRB and certain elders that have brought these matters to the attention of the Society.

The changes the Society has made are examples of reform. The Society's ability to reform itself and it's having done so is manifest in that it still is in operation today.

I think Lee's comments indicate an acceptance that only limited results can be expected from attempting to change the Society from within and having exhausted these measures they will throw greater support behind litagation as a means of forcing change.

We do not know his personal circumstances which may not have permitted the time, money and energy needed to push it as fast as it could have gone. But we can be glad AJWRB are also now formally pushing together against the tower that has already been leaning.
