"Elders" are Managers!

Jehovah's Witness Elders are really managers appointed by Headquarters to manage the local operation of the Kingdom Halls. That is it! Nothing more! Forget all this "spirit appointed" stuff. They cannot make a decision without following WT directives, or checking the WT bound volumes, or contacting Brooklyn itself..."Hello Service Department?...HELP!"

The "Elders" are not competent to help people with family, spiritual, or emotional problems. These "Elders" consider managing the affairs of the local congregation more important than any severe problem a Brother or Sister might have. They are imposters, given a fake mantle of authority, not earned by any ability other than an ability to present themselves as a "Watchtower Man," ready to support directives and policies of the almighty WT organization no matter what they are.

OK...the above is nothing new, but I had to vent right now *taking deep breath* --VM44

I agree. Be a male, ass kiss as much as you possibly can, and eventually be appointed an elder. Just don't step on another elders toes, or threaten his position. Then you will be given the opportunity to "minister" to others, when you have no formal training. But don't worry, you can count on the WTS, they will direct your moves.

Go ahead take 2 deep breaths.

What you said is exactly right. Unfortunate that is the reality.

I would like to point out that a few men accepted the appointment because they thought it was the right thing to do,

and that they could more fully share the love of the Christ.

I believe most of the ones that really loved and cared for the flock have left that organization.

All I see left there are Pharisee wanabes.

Sounds like Walter Karasek. Remember him?

Hi VM44: You are quite correct. And any competant good Elder has left or will be leaving soon ... as for being 'Managers' ... I recall an incident where I was at the KH on a work day for remodeling ... and whhile laying new plywood on the roof, a young brother (about 19) asked to talk privately ... he was having some personal problems ... so I took a break and we talked ... then Elder A (who I mention in my exit series) approached demaning we get back to work ... he was most obnoxius ... and I finally had to tell him to bug off ... but his only concern was the project and not a hurting brother ... we had about 100 men from several congregations helping out, so they did not miss my services ...

yes-- and poor managers at that... I just spoke with one today conerning my "active witness wifes" abandonent of home and family... they seem to be more concerned with my "apostacy" than the fact that she can easily be caught lieing to them and using them to perpetrate a bad situtation. I did ask him if they had the had sanctioned her and he said no-- a few minutes later he told me they had given private reproof to her for filing for divorce without grounds and she can't be consisdered as an aux pioneer. I asked what else and he stumbles and stutters and changed subjects... Real fortune 500 material this one...

The average elder cant pour warm piss out of a boot --even if the instructions are written on the heel.

In my experience the key to getting a satisfactory outcome to any elder moderated situation is file the complaint first. They can not seem to ferret out truth- the first and loudest will sway the BOE's opinion and win --just about everytime.

Good elders leave, or get run off-- I can see why.
