Wanna cause some trouble?
Monitor your Circuit Overseer's talks during congregation visits and circuit assemblies.
At District Assemblies, C.O./D.O. talks are manuscripts, carefully monitored, WORD FOR
WORD, by a brother assigned by headquarters. This is not a joke - it's actually quite
surprizing to see a brother with the whole text of the talk in front of him, with his
finger following every line and word, to note ANY deviation from the Society's
material. You see, they get scared about getting in trouble in politically correct
cities (imagine saying that God will destroy all gays at Armageddon) - or uttering
speculations about How Close the End is.
On the other hand, in elders meetings, congregation visits and sometimes
circuit assemblies, things aren't as tight - but they still are public meetings
and these guys still REPRESENT the Society.
So, feel free to record and transcribe any 'odd' talks by Circuit Overseers
and then send them to the Society and ask "Why haven't we seen this in the Watchtower?"
Circuit Overseers hate this - and often, will never forget elders who 'correct' them
by calling the Service Dept.!
Don't worry about discouraging them.
They probably would be happier selling cars or insurance, anyway.
