I just ordered "crisis of conscience" Since Mr. Franz has been away from JW's for a number of years now-what exactly does he believe? Does he subscribe to any particular religion?
More about Ray Franz ,please

His second book ''In Search of Christian Freedom'' explains it even clearer and is well worth the read once you have finished "Crisis of Conscience".

I believe Ray wrote both those books because he kept getting questions from many people and couldn't keep up with answering the same thing over and over again. So I highly recommend reading both books and let the man have some peace in his life.

I read both books from Raymond Franz and I loved them. However, he has left me wanting for more. I would very much appreciate him writing a third book since there is much to say on other aspects of Christian life. I found that on some subjects he only scratched the surface, particularly in CoC, and could have given more details in the second book.

Ray writes that it is the Christian faith itself that is the "truth," not any one religion. Ray has always had my utmost respect, even when I was a JW and he was out.
Read both books!
