Yes, money talks and bullshit walks. A friend of mine said that. Being an idealist, I did believe that until late in life. I was not until the OJ trial that I saw the truth of this saying. So, how does apply to "God's organization?' Well, let's look at of a few of the famous JWs. Back in the 50's. there was a pulp crime fiction writer by the name of Mickey Spilliane. His books were full of sex and violence. The kind of stuff that Witnesses should not read. I am sure that Spilaine sent hefty contributions to headquarters. Next, we had Michael Jackson whose music and dancing was forbidden to the average JW teenager, yet dear Michael remained a JW for a very long time. I am sure that he made major contributions to headquarters. Now we have the tennis sisters who drape themselves in the American flag, stand for the national athem and drop Jehovah into the conversation. I am sure they also send money to headquarters.

Apparently, so I heard, all of the original StarWars cast (Luke, Leia, Han, O-B-wan, C3P0,R2D2, and even a couple of creatures from Jabbas palace) are now practicing JWs, and they send in millions, if not billions of dollars to the WT...... or so I heard.

I've got to tell ya. I'm really skeptical about the main characters and donating but I did meet several of the actors that played Ewoks in Star Wars III. They filmed in the west coast redwoods area. They attended our KH quite a bit. They were so popular they had at least two teenage girls(sisters) at their side at all times.

Fantastic Wren!!, .......between you and me though, (and don't let this go any further..) I did hear this.... you know that well ugly, yet strangely alluring looking woman with 4 sets of bozookas (in Return of the Jedi) you know the one dancing at Jabbas palace before Luke turns up....well I heard she got disfellowshipped for accusing the Witnesses of being part of the BORG(tm)... forgive me, but I saw that one coming, everyone knows that line comes from Star-Trek. I think she posts here somewhere too.....
