I read somewhere that Judge Rutherfords funeral was delayed by court cases. Apparently he wanted to be buried at "beth sarim" at sunrise or something.
If this is not just some mythical story, can anybody provide links to further information on this topic? I have tried "search" but cant find anything and am quite curious about it.
Thanks

p.s. I hope this subject is suitable for JW News and Events
Try www.watchtower.observer.org and look to the upper left corner under "History" you will find "Rutherford" and "Beth-Sarim." What you are looking for may be there or here.
Plenty of good info there about Beth-Sarim but nothing about "The Judge" wanting to be buried at sunrise or why this was important. Perhaps this part was just a mythical story?
N. H. Knorr was also addicted to spiritualism. As shown in the Awake!, May 27, 1942, Knorr and the Society went to court over a silly matter having to do with their fanciful belief in "the King of the East, and the Chief King of the Sunrising" calling for Rutherford to be buried at Beth-Sarim at sunrise! Knorr lost the case, but his action postponed Rutherford's burial for three and a half months after he died!
Link, I just used google.com then the words "Rutherford, sunrising, burial" and it popped up. I recommend that way to start out looking for info on the Net.
