"God is Love" (1 John 4:8)

"Love is Not Jealous" (1 Corinthians 13:4)

    +

"Jehovah (aka the LORD) is a jealous God" (Exodus 20:5; Exodus 34:14)

    =

I get it, I get it! Jehovah is not God! Or wait, is it God is not God?

"Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant."

Modern language confuses word. Envy is the displeasure at another receiving good - jealousy is 'strong concern over'.

    LOL! Good post!

Though I am sure your reasoning is not theologically solid, I enjoyed it anyway.

As for you being dizzy....you are far from it! As anyone who knows you can easily see.

Ah, you have made my day! I miss you too.

My computer died and so I have not been able to IM anyone. I have a computer now and am supposed to get Internet access on Sunday, so hopefully I can IM you then.

I want to catch up with you on what is going on in your life, etc...

    A Paduan....

oops...you are right. not all translations support my loose "conclusion".

Just the New World Translation that the dubs use says "love is not jealous"
as opposed to "love does not envy".

perhaps the hebrew & greek words say more than the english words.

perhaps there is something to be said about translation or interpretation or both!
