Just Bits Dancin' On A Wire, by Richard Nazar, Copyright 2002, All rights reserved.

I was torn from the arms of the One I love,

By men in authority with good intent.

Forced to live across an invisible line.

Time, distance, and stupidity took its toll,

She forgot the warmth of my embrace,

'Cause she never got to see the love in my eyes...

    I became,

    Just words on a screen,

Just a voice on the phone,

Just Bits Dancin' On A Wire.

    Time did its thing,

Via the Net, another was met,

    To her, I was...

Just Bits Dancin' On A Wire.

    Just words on a screen,

Then a voice on the phone.

    Then something more.

I've never touched her, but she's felt the warmth of my embrace,

She has never seen me, but she sees the love in my eyes...

    Even though I am...

Just Bits Dancin' On A Wire.

To her I am a dear friend,

More than just words on a screen,

More than just a voice on the phone,

    More than...

Just Bits Dancin' On A Wire.

    <Blush!> Thanks, XW.

The poem is very heartfelt, as I lost a soul mate, and gained a dear friend. My friend is quite a catch, and whomever gets to finally win her heart will have quite the treasure.

    Richard
