Good morning everyone. It's just one week until the election; Have you checked out the candidates and what they would like to do? We have a Govenor, US Senate and US Rep race going on this year as well as several state questions to vote on.

I went to the each candidates website last night because TV commercials just don't explain everything. One candidate's commercial consisted of showing another candidate cussing during an interview. Of course the song that was playing during the commercial was pirated. So we have the foul mouthed vs the thief.

But their web sites showed just where they stand on some important issues. Our state's economy is in bad shape and they each had ideas how to correct it; I sure hope one guy doesn't get elected after reading his view on things.

Voting is very important. We have a say in who gets to run things; During all those years we spent in the borg we gave up that privilege. It feels great to vote.

    Sadie,

I know the campaign you are talking about, I live in the same state.

The candidate with all the mud slinging campaigns, in my opinion, is also doing something I have never heard a candidate do before. He is addressing specific issues, such as the suckola condition of our highways, and the ripoff turnpike authority. Other than that, he kinda seems like a kook....

Who're you leaning towards, if you don't mind me asking?

Talking at you from the center part of the state....

Why yes in fact I'm all raring to go.

I did something fantastic recently. I actually voted in the democrat primary. Now, before you all start fainting from the strain, I crossed over in the primary to vote AGAINST Cynthia (Jihad) McKinney. Now with the general election coming up I will vote a split ticket GOP/Libertarian.

An American voting democrat is like a Chicken voting Colonel Sanders.

    I dunno about Largent.

I think I have a natural antipathy towards jocks.

I REALLY wish that Orza had made the cut against ex-governor slime-o Walters. Sometimes the voting habits and gulliblity of people in our grand land just boggles the mind!

I've never really had the urge to vote, especially these days. I'm a Watergate child, and the line from The Who's "Won't Get Fooled Again" always comes to mind two months after the inauguration:"Meet the new boss, same as the old boss."

There aren't any apparent differences that I can see between the Republicrat and the Demopublican pols. The only party line they subscribe to is the "self-interest" and "four more years" and "I vote aye on this cost of living increase for underpaid Congress salaries".

Of course, the Independent movements get all fragmented into "pet" agendas, plus the proponents of positive change get so full of themselves and their import that they can be off-putting to people like me who just want to see the job done.

So this year, I cast my vote for Lord Such and the Raving Monster Looney Party .

Or, I'll vote for Howard the Duck. "Get Down, America!"
