I don't have one, use one, or know where I can buy one. I have a big hatchet and a big axe that have no religious significance except for my monthly communion sacrifice on the full moon.

    How can they ?

Ther has never been an article about ' stone hand axes ' in the watchtower or awake magazines.........therefore they do not exist !

I think maybe you're starting to stretch just a wee bit for topics in this series...

I just wanted to say I appreciate the point u are making with your series here. That things were forbidden simply because they had "pagan origins" drove me absolutely crazy since nearly everything has "pagan origins". The inconsistency in their applying this stupid principle was absolutely ridiculous and I think even they started letting up on alot of dumb things in the last few years.

When I started studying with the JW's, I had already been studying for a while with the Seventh-day Adventists. SDA's teach that Saturday is God's Sabbath, and that Sunday worship is improper, because it derives from pagan sun worship. When I objected to the fact that the primary JW meeting was held on Sunday, and told my study conductor that Sunday worship was "pagan," he said: "So what? What if a pagan was the first one who sneezed, does that mean that we can't sneeze too?" Unfortunately, neither he nor I saw the irony in that at the time.
