A family friend is getting married and has asked me to perform the wedding. My wife directed me to the solution: http://www.spiritualhumanism.org/

So I'm clergy again! Who would have thunk it ;-)

You too can be a man (or woman) of the cloth!

    Check it out.

    Lee,

In the 1970's there was a mail-order Church called the "Universal Life Church." Their ordination process was capitalistic and much simpler than the Watchtower version:

For $35.00 you could be "ordained" and could legally marry anyone.

For $50.00 they would make you a "biship."

For $75.00 you could become a "high priest."

(There were several other levels which I've forgotten)

Finally, for $200.00 they would make you a "Saint" and ordain you with all the benefits of Sainthood.

This could be done through the mails and you could receive all your certificates in plain-brown wrappers with the utmost of discretion. One day, you're a schmuck. The next day you get the brown envelope and you are now a Saint with all the paperwork to prove it!

They made a bloody fortune. Everybody wants to be a somebody, even if they have to pay for it.

I ordianed myself awhile back too, using some online site. I registered and actually performed one wedding. Non Christian wedding, just poems and fun stuff. I thought it was one of the coolest things I ever did since exiting.

By the way, the one I did was 100% free. I entered my name, address and e-mail and hit submit! What shocked me, was that the state knew about them and accepted them. LOL

    My thought

I was married for a month, last year. I asked her, 'do you wanna?' She said, 'yah'. Can't get much simpler than that. The divorce came when she didn't wanna no more. Life goes on.

Hey!....going back in history a bit, if you bought the president of the WBTS a new car you could damn near be one of the GB......and that's worth a bunch

Hey, this sounds like a great opportunity! I was thinking of purchasing a college diploma but this sounds alot cheaper. Do we get a clergy license plate too? I'm tired of having to walk so far when I visit someone in the hospital. I need alittle prestige in my life. This oughta do it :)
