Hello everyone...I am a college senior taking a New American Religions class, and one of our
assignments requires looking more closely at a religion of our choice. Specifically I have
a few generic, interview type questions that I would love if someone could answer for me.
If anyone is interested, could you please email me at [email protected] Thanks for the assistance.

The answers you get in this forum may tend to be skewed to the negative. Many of the people here have been burned by the organization of Jehovah's Witnesses... myself included.

When I was 25, I no longer wanted to be a part of the organization - I just didn't believe the things they were teaching. I talked to the elders about it and they told me to write a letter of "disassociation". No big deal, one would think.

What happened is my entire family and all of the people I was raised around (all JW's) started to shun me.

You can read more about a recent letter I wrote to my family at:

There's scads of letters on Shauns research.com, or you can contact a local congregation, and they will happily set up a home study with you.

You should find this religion very interesting as it is full of lies and hypocracy. The Watchtower (The Governing Body of Jehovah's Witnesses) believes in itself as the sole communication center between God and the earth. What a bunch of shit!
