Directions for turning "old light" into "new light":
Tightly roll outdated Watchtowers (anything prior to last Tuesday). Place a couple drops of kerosene onto the top of the roll. Ignite. "New light" will shine forth for several minutes. Lasts much longer than "old light".
Consolation didn't start being published by the WTS until October 1937, are you sure that's a kosher quote?
Hmmmmmm......

Actually, kerosene is a good light solvent.. add a ounce in your carwash water and it does a marvelous job removing road film and bugs, tar, etc. It has a high flash point compared to other petroleum based solvents like gasoline.
Kerosene was always used to treat animals and humans. It does heal up cuts and seems to kill infection causing germs. We still dip piglets in kerosene after nuetering them...time tested, cheap and it works. I have seen several horse and cattle cuts treated with kerosene too. Burns like hell however and I would hesitate using it on people as better products are available nowdays.
U better ask TR about above quote.
