For myself it has been very frustrating when trying to help other JW'S that I know To become free of the WT.Society.I use to try to kill the tree,so to speak,by cutting off the many branches(the individual arguments);I since learned that it is much better to kill the tree by cutting at its roots(showing the discrepancies within the source of the arguments,the organization).In speaking with one close friend I was taking him into new and Unfamiliar Territory, namely ,undermining the organization itself.I did this by asking him questions concerning the WT.organization.As he was thinking that I was asking for his help,he began to realize that there were some things that he could not swallow anymore.Then he began asking me, what did I know about the Society that he didn't.Since then I have been able to help him see clearly another side to the organization and he is slowly fading away.I have found this approach much more effective and less frustrating. Nice work, Blueblades!
When you asked him questions about the WBTS, did you already know what the answer was, and were able to follow with a counter-question? E.g. " has the WBTS ever said they were a prophet?" Then do the true or false prophet thing?
And how did you get HIM to start YOU asking questions about the WBTS? Did he just presume that you may have known things he didn't know?

I believe the internet is going to help out tremendously in lowering the amount of new witnesses, as well as helping those already in, leave.
The other great way that will help those already in leave, is those who already know the "real truth" and help others out, from the inside. Good work blueblades!

Hi! Spanner,I always used the articles in the publications.How they contradict each other etc.The Proclaimers Book is an excellent place to start.It describes the history of the Society.This history can be shown to be one-sided and dishonest.I never give him the answer I let him speak for himself.He will give himself the answer.We just need to show and ask them a thought provoking question and don't answer it for them.Blueblades
