If you could get back all the money you spent with the Jehovah Witness, would it addup to alot. You can count, clothing, gas money, donations, books, magazines, hotel rooms for out of town assemblies, and just about everything you had to purchase to be a J.W.

I would be happy just to get back my lost time.

The money lost while in the Watch Tower was material and thus insignificant. But the time we wasted was important. If we made converts then we caused spirtual harm to those we ensnared.

If time was money in this case, then I would have tons. Other than that, I really didn't spend too much money, and I think I only donated about $5 once on the World Wide Kingdom Work.

Got out in my mid twenties, spent virtually nothing as a kid.

Yes, it would add up to a few $$$, but the time lost is probably what I'd like back most.

But all in all, our experiences in life help shape us and our personality, and there were some benefits growing up as a JW, so I'm not completely bitter. I'm just grateful that I got the chance to get out when I did.

A couple of thousand dollars is insignigicant...???

    .

    Figure it out!

I pioneered 17 ys 25 hrs per week, then add the 3 meetings a week, Elder M/S meetings, assemblies, etc etc.

Ok. Lets figure it out. Lets say 30,000$. No way is it less. That is very significant also here.

Considering I pioneered for 4 years and at times would do up to 400 kilometers a day!

Also you have the assemblies and conventions which were at least 200 kilometers away. On top of travel you have accomodation costs.

I lived right next door to the kingdom hall so didnt need to drive except to pick up a disabled sister once a week.

I have never really thought about it but now that I do.. I think I did loose alot of money while a witness.

    hmmmmmmmm go figure
