New fun at highschool

Not long ago I was able to take a group of kids from the school and introduce them to scuba diving. It was a blast and as soon as my computer is repaired I'll post pictures of it. Today after basketball practice I talked to the superintendent about another idea. He and I play racquetball together each week.

We're going to introduce racquetball to the highschool students next. Then we'll form a racquetball team and compete in some highschool events. This school has 84 students and more than 70% of the familes there are under the federal poverty level. We've managed to get donations from the weathlier community down the hill to help.

One other interesting trip we have going at the highschool is a reward trip. On the 11th I'm taking 55 of the 84 students bowling and then to the mall that is 30 miles away. In the first 12 weeks of school all of these students have not had one grade slip below a C and haven't had a single behavior referral. That's not bad. No mention of this trip has been made. We are hoping that the others will see another benefit to good behavior and good grades.

It is so good not being a witness. Life is becoming full in my golden years. I get to do things I would not have been allowed to do not long ago. Not without a trip to the back room anyway. Actually when I was a witness my wife and I organized roller skating events and things like that. Well actually I did visit the backroom a couple of times over that. After all large events can lead to sinning.

Enjoy your freedom my friends. Try not to allow any hatred for the Borg to cause you to miss out on life. There is soooo much to do out there. Things that need doing and things that also are fun to do.
