time with family and loved one. If you are here and you family is shunning you because you are DF, you are family here. Just can't serve the turkey on the post. What is an XJW thankful for on Thanksgiving? 1) JWS trying to pretend they are not celebrating thanksgiving while cooking a turkey the day before. If you ate turkey on Thanksgiving you were celebrationg the holiday. I felt this was hypocritical. 2) I don't have to spend the day knocking on people's doors tryting to sell Watchtowers. I can enjoy my day off. 3) For me no Kingdom Ministry School meeting. Myne was scheduled for Thursday night. 4) I am thankful for my relationship with Jesus. 5) I am glad I don't have to explain to others at work why I won't be celebrating thanksgiving. 6) Thankful no long Wt slave! 7) thankful for all the wonderful XJWS friends I have met though my 8 years of ministry. 8) Thankful to Jesus he uses this Egroup for helping XJWS to have a full relationship with him. 9) I am thankful I have a job which I am gainfully employed. As a JW I could not take many job beause it was not permitted or required me to work meeting nights. 10) Today I can celebrate thanksgiving with my non JW family members and not being absent. I can hold hands and pray with family to thank God for our blessing, not to sit alone or be with JWS who will talk about how those in the world are not pleasing to Jehovah by eating enjoying a thanksgiving feast. BTW ejoy your Thanksgiving and Hold hand with your families tight and pray! Remember the days you were not permitted by Wt rules to do this! Love, Nowaytess |
