Wow! Thats awesome everyone! Anymore comments or reflections?

I forgot to mention I'm an applied linguistics student at the university of Victoria in Canada. Our department is the world leader for research into the indiginous languages of North America. I have more of a practicle bent, so I specialized in Japanese and ESL. Lots of jobs and travel oportunities! It's the first time in my life that employers were seeking me out! I've been very fortunate, traveling Japan, China, Thailand, Malaysia, and Indonesia. Got a job lined up in Japan after graduation in April, should stay for a few years.

I remember how proud I was when I got my first student card. It feels SO good to be getting an education. I was on a fast track to becoming a janitor/pioneer until I pulled myself up by my bootstraps at 21 and started living. Life is beautiful. -J

I'm a first year graduate student at WWU. I finished a double major in Communicatin Sciences and Disorders (formerly Speech Language Pathology and Audiology) and Spanish.

I'm current in a Speech Language Master's program to become a Speech Language Pathologist. And I have finals next week.

I am the very proud mother of two daughters in college. One is majoring in Spanish, the other is majoring in an undecided field of engineering. They are living uncharted waters for this family. Mr Rocky and I were not afforded the opportunity to attend college. We both fully believed the end of the system would happen before we finished high school. LOL - glad we didn't hold those expectations for our children!

I'm a first year nursing student, and boy, when you've been out of school for 10 or 11 years, it is very overwhelming. I'm preparing for finals now :( ! I still can't believe I'm actually at University, I'm just wondering when this reality will hit me!!

Well, I am slowly working on my BA in Music Performance at Hunter College in New York. I also work for the Modern Language Association, a non-profit academic organization. Click on my little globe in my profile to go to our site.
