When I look back on my years as a Jw, I cant believe how I accepted so many of their teachings without proof. As I think about it now, I sometimes really feel like a dumb ass. I was watching a video of our ministry school from a few years ago and there is no way in hell I could sit and listen to that bull anymore.
When they say the faithful slave, my stomach turns. So how long could you sit at a meeting now?
I can't even stand to drive by a KH. No way I'd step inside.
The last time I went to a meeting, about 1 year ago, I noticed how they all were like little robots, who couldn't think for themselves. Thats the way I was, when I joined, but today, I couldn't do that anymore. I would have a hard time going back, with what I know today.
I haven't set foot in a Kingdom Hall since 1966. Even that is too soon!
I couldn't do it, I even hate to read the quotes from the literature that are some times posted on this site. I can't imagine sitting through a 45 minute talk.
Don't even entertain such thoughts today. I hated it then...I would hate it now.

Well, there is a difference between "can" and "will". A month ago I sat through a meeting of 45 minutes, in "honor" of my grandma. So I can sit through a meeting, and keep my composure, even when it annoys the hell outta me.
But that was the last time I will ever set foot in a Kingdom hall, ever again. So, I won't sit through one more minute of that crap.

Mornin WT...I miss you guys!...Assuming they would let me in a Kingdom Hall I imagine I would make it through the beginning of the song, but would probably leave before it was done...

Went to a meeting with my wife over the summer. After I went...i told her..."Honey, you know I love you and I'd do damn near anything for you. But, please don't ask me to come to the Kingdom Hall with you again. I just can't do it anymore." For me, I had to get up and go outside a couple of times, because I was getting so intensly angry. Certain things that the unqualified speaker said during the talk hit nerves with me...and don't even get me started on the regurgitation of the party line spiced with things to make the individual moron look intelligent...that's called the Watchtower Study. That meeting was pretty close to the time of the Dateline Special and so many tried to work this into their answers, even though it was in no way related to the discussion.
No, thanks! No more for me.
