For those with a cynical outlook. . .

Sure to ranckle a few feathers

    "Let's all sing along..."

Sung to the tune: "If You're Happy And You Know It Clap Your Hands"

If we cannot find Osama, bomb Iraq.
If the markets hurt your Mama, bomb Iraq.
    If the terrorists are Saudi
And the bank takes back your Audi
And the TV shows are bawdy,
    Bomb Iraq.

To keep the oil flow'en, bomb Iraq.
If the power of OPEC's grow'en, bomb Iraq.
    The Russians and the French,
    Have already pitched their tents
It makes petro bucks, not sense
    Bomb Iraq.

If the corporate scandals growin', bomb Iraq.
And your ties to them are showin', bomb Iraq.
If the smoking gun ain't smokin'
We don't care, and we're not jokin'.
That Saddam will soon be croakin',
    Bomb Iraq.

Even if we have no allies, bomb Iraq.
From the sand dunes to the valleys, bomb Iraq.
    So to hell with the inspections;
Let's look tough for the elections,
Close your mind and take directions,
    Bomb Iraq.

While the globe is slowly warming, bomb Iraq.
Yay! the clouds of war are storming, bomb Iraq.
If the ozone hole is growing,
Some things we prefer not knowing.
    (Though our ignorance is showing),
    Bomb Iraq.

So here's one for dear old daddy, bomb Iraq, (the gipper)
From his favorite little laddy, bomb Iraq. (little nipper)
Saying no would look like treason.
    It's the Hussein hunting season.
Even if we have no reason,
    Bomb Iraq

    PEACE

    Xandria,

I agree. Bombing Iraq at this time makes no sense to me at all. I suspect the real reason for wanting to bomb Iraq is different from the one told the public. I would not be surprised if it is related to the control of oil and oil prices. This would not be the first time the public was fooled by the President into doing things that made the Bush oil empire richer.

The U.S. could have easily killed Saddam Hussein during the Gulf War, and that would have made sense. My Muslim friends tell me that Saddam Hussein was not removed after the Gulf War because the U.S. needed someone strong enough to control Iraq's surrounding Middle Eastern nations, but someone whom the U.S. could control. If this latest drum-beating is not about oil, it is about controlling the Middle East.

BTW, you are a hell of a song writer. You should publish that one. I wonder what the public's reaction would be if you did.

    Richard
