I already replied in a another thread about my son, in my husband's thread about my birthday , entitled,
"tonite we dance", by WildTurkey......
I need some advice or experience from others who have kids with ADDH and other problems. I just would like to know if any of you have found anything that works.

I know what it is like to cut things short or just not go some where at all because your child needs you. Your a good Mommy for being so understanding of your son.
My son is Autistic and has been a hand full at times. He has made alot of progress but there was a time he had no real comunication other then fits and pointing....so you couldn't always be siure what he wanted or needed.
He realy hates for me to leave him behind and because his father and I divorced when he was one he clings more and more!
his Nurologist recomended this supliment instead of drugs ....My son takes 1 200 mg capsule 2 times a day. Like you I never would want drugs so this supliment made me happy. It's called CARN-AWARE and it takes 8 to 10 weeks b4 noticing a differance but, there has been improvments in my son. There have been all kinds of children taking it....even ADHD children. They make some incredable claims there but, it does seem to need real parent dedication by both Mother and Father.So talk to daddy Still for me it is worth looking into. In the mean time I focus on it realy wont be this way forever. they do grow up and leave no matter what thier life challenges are.There are independant living programs and job training out there. My gurlfriend's son is mentaly retarded and he now has his own apartment since he was 21!!! He and I go bowling together and have a beer or 2 I figure I only have my son a short time and will be without him longer then with him. So I am enjoying best I can him needing me but, always working towards him growing up to be independant and his own person.
It's a slow process when they have extra challenges but, as you know they are so worth it. e-mail me Dede if you want to talk....pettygrudger is one I know who probly has lots of ideas too!
