"Who Was Moses" and "Jesus - The Complete Story" are both on the Discovery Channel tonight. These are excellent documentaries for anyone interested & I would highly recommend you watch if you are able.

Thanks for bringing these programs to my attention. Excellent presentations. If archaeologists had dismissed the Bible in to-to as some have done on this board, we may have been denied many digs and startling discoveries. Rather, using the Bible they went on to make their finds.

Sounds interesting ,this is the first I've heard. although I seriously doubt they will find any thing conclusive about Jesus it wouldn't surprise me if they find something about moses . I wonder if this is the show where they claim to find a chariot wheel in the red sea that dates back to that time ,it sounds pretty hokey but who knows? I keep expecting them to find some heiroglyphs that mention moses somewhere that the egyptians forgot to delete.

    Heathen,

They found the hub of a chariot wheel (but not in the Red Sea--which is a mistranslation; it should be the Sea of Reeds). Not only the hub, but stable foundations that could house some 500 chariots. For the longest scholars felt that Pharaoh's army could not have as many chariots as Exodus said. Now they have been forced to reconsider.

Suppose they would have found a wheel in the Red Sea? How many chariots do you supposed crossed that sea through time? There also are books that tell of people before Moses and the hebrews, who had the same story of this type of man and that moses never existed.

Have they found any archaeological evidence left in the desert of some million people that were described in the "exodus" yet?

I would have liked to seen the show. Perhaps some one could give some verbal exerpts from it.

Kenneson- Thanks for the clearification. I only saw the commercial and thought I heard red sea but still haven't seen the show . I did catch the jesus show and no they don't have any conclusive evidence that he ever existed but still interesting to hear peoples theories on the matter.
