Just thought I'd post something for smokers who want to quit. This will certainly cause me to avoid the nasty weed for awhile. It takes a few seconds to load so be patient.

Animal,
I love cigars, too. I also smoke a pipe (a Merscham, turkish block). But, after reading a bit today, it makes me want to put the pipe down for awhile.
ash
I've seen enough (snuffing ciggy out in ash tray). Good public service post .That stuff is truely disgusting .I no longer have to fear the big A.lol
being a cancer surviver, I take all this stuff in stride.... we all go somehow, someway.

Interesting web site, then I realized that it was done by Anne Arundel County. Are you from AA County? I live in theGlen Burnie Area
I've been off cigs for over 2 weeks now, feeling good.
I still want a cigarette!........
Course I quit 5 years ago!
No pictures could have made me stop.I was too addicted. When I went in for a check-up the Dr. told me if I didn't quit..I would be a candidate for Emphysema in 5 years! He also gave me a prescription for Wellbutrin. I wanted a cigarette but I didn't climb the walls. I just got busy untill I forgot about it. The Wellbutrin helped with the anxiety of not having a cigarette when I wanted one. I took it for 3 months and that was it!
It is a hard habit to break. My Mom was a heavy smoker and when she died of cancer..she was mentally out of it. Yet she still imitated smoking a cigarette!. While she was laying in her hospital bed..she was playing like she was holding something on her chest .(Ashtray) Then she would move her fingers to her mouth and back. I finally figured out what she was doing..smoking an imaginary cigarette. She even flicked the ashes! And she was out of it in her mind. She couldn't speak or recognize anyone.
So I have always wondered how out of it she was. Or if this was such an out of control habit that she did it subconsciously?
Now Hubby has lung cancer..I never smoked in the house or car or around him..or any other non-smoker.....so it wasn't from second hand smoke. But they think it is from his job. In concrete they use a lot of chemicals like lime..and he had to breathe those all these years. They will probably do a detailed biopsy on his lung ...later... to find out which chemicals caused the cancer.
Interesting enough..it is called "Envionmental Cancer".
The Dr said 20 percent of all lung cancers are in Non-smokers! That shocked the heck out of me!
Snoozy.....
PS...by the way..what is all those little letters and numbers for under our names? Some new ID thing?
