I got a rare day off work.
Luckily enough, I'm sitting here listening to music I've stolen online (IOW: downloaded). One of those songs is Natalie Cole's rendition of her father's earlier take of "Let There Be Love."
Beside the music part of it, I marvel at the gifts that parents are able to leave their children. Natalie Cole can "sang," make no mistake, just like her daddy. But how much of that is on her? And how much is on her mom/dad?
Whatever the answer, the point is: We owe.
To all that have come before us in our family... to those that have suffered the penalty, paid the cost. We owe.
In one way or another...
