I have watched this movie 5 times now in the last week, it is brilliant!

Gordon McLeod (Robert Duvall) is the manager of a second tier Scottish football team. Faced with pressure from his American owner (Michael Keaton), he is forced to bring on a marquee player (Ally McCoist) to improve the fortunes of the team and prevents its being moved from the fiercely loyal town it's been for a century. Along the way, McLeod must battle his own demons, including long-standing tiffs with both his daughter and a former colleague who betrayed him.

well, thanks - will look for it. Always appreciate people recommending rentals.

5 times might be a tad over the top though, beans. Of course, I haven't seen it yet....so I may have to take my back, eh?

    Beans,

Looks like an entertaining film, but what the hell is a "marquee" player?

Surely a marquee is a big tent, yes?
