If you lived on one side of the country and then moved to the other side and started attending meetings at a hall and had no documentation, would they check up on you?

What is the procedure? Someone could cause alot of apostacy if they weren't checked out ya know!

I had a friend who changed congregations four times, and in each one, they didn't really seem to bother to get the paperwork strait. Maybe it is easy to slip under the radar that way........

So instead of passing out watchtowers, we could pass out Crises books?

I know of people that have moved to a new area only to give their old congregation a false address in order to fade. I also know of some that have had their paperwork lost for years. In fact one was an elder that had to wait nearly a year for his paperwork to be forwarded and could assume his duties at the new hall.

I don't think it's closely monitered, usually a phone call will work just to find out if the person is in good standing.

If you decided to employ a little "theocratic strategy", you could simply pose as a person that is interested in the magazines. Then someone would offer to study with you. You could appear to be a "honest-hearted one".Then you could easily but subtlely refute statements made by the Watchtower. You would then have other more experience publishers come by to try to reason with you. You could say that you understand this or that and then throw out another curveball at them. Meanwhile you could be playing with the minds of those that might be receptive to change....I say, "GO FOR IT!"
