Have carts been abandoned in favour of old fashioned door-to-door witnessing?

I just noticed recently that the carts have gone from outside the local station and I have noticed Witnesses on the streets going door to door again. Anyone else observed this? Have the r&f decided carts don't work? -

Either way, they are both mindless tasks with zero results. Just busy work and a way to measure the Rank and File (hours/time). -

The apathy trollies were out in force in my city on Saturday gone.
Maybe they only do certain days?
I can't imagine you've seen the end of the apathy trolly!

Just saw one this morning.
Perched near the busiest corner in the downtown of the city where I work.
Utterly ignored. Dozens of people walking past it every minute, scarcely even glancing at it.
No JWs in sight - well, I had to look for them.
There they were - an elderly couple, maybe in their 70's or 80's. Sitting on a bench a good 50 feet away from it. Old, obese, lethargic, a look of hopeless boredom in their eyes. If someone had stopped at the cart it would have taken them a good 60 seconds to shuffle over to them.
It was perfectly ridiculous and nothing even remotely resembling a "good witness".
