It never did for if you read the article closely it says no Christian "wants" to lie. It doesn't say no Christian must lie. It itself is a statement that is a word ploy, deceptive. Happily though there is now a very cheap device (I think for about $50!) which determines when people are lying to you by voice stress, so Theocratic Warfare won't be doing them much good for long :) :) :) It will be so hard for some elders to unlearn old ways......... :)
Watchtower Has NOT Rescinded Theocratic Warfare!

The device could hardly discriminate lies from truth if the candidate lies all the time

It definitely can too and that's why it's sold. Any little stress variation in the voice is detected. TW has met its match and its name is TECHNOLOGY. Run Brooklyn, run!

If it's so reliable, then why isn't it admissable in court? Lot's of things can cause stress, some subjects themselves cause stress, not because the person is lying, but because of the subject matter.

On the go, re-read what A Paduan said, tongue-in-cheek. He's right. It is common practice for Armed forces personnel to be taught HOW to cheat a lie detector. Also, if you are a pathological liar, there is relatively little stress placed on you by lying. A P is saying the WTBS is full of pathological liars. (true).
By the way, what article are you referring to?

Most elders are not "pathological" but "practised" at verbal deception TW. The device is reckoned as highly reliable as well as inexpensive. If you don't want to buy one, that's your decision. I'm saying though that lying, misspeaking, verbally misleading or whatever is no longer effective even when coming from practised TW users, especially Watchtower elders. Rank-and-file JWs and others can use the devices too :) Bad news for the Watchtower :) Doesn't that cheer you up, too, as well as all others opposed to Watchtower TW. It should. :)

Its not a lie if you believe it.
