On our BBC channel on cable here in the States, I watch a program, Cracker, with Robbie Coltrain. I really like it. I was wondering what you folks in the UK thought of it. The program will be on in 45 minutes, so I may not respond to your comments for awhile. When I return, I will tell you why I like it.

It gets high ratings here, not too bad for a detective show.

Hello Larc,
Yes, it is quite a thought-provoking program(me).
I also like the camera work.
But I don't like the city within which it is set very much. I spent my early teens there (which probably
explains why!).
Robbie Coltrane is perfect for the part, though, don't you think?
Having said that, I've only watched Cracker a couple of times; I'm always working!
Do you get "Inspector Morse" in the States? Now that is an excellent detective program (OK, I've adopted your American spelling!).
If not, I would be happy to send over a video!
To both you, Larc, and Jan, take care!

I seem to recall that some of Cracker could be pretty horrific. Remember the series with Robert Carlyle playing the villain?

yes cracker was a superb series , i actually served quite a few times in my job an actor who appeared in cracker called colin tierney who appearred in the episode with robert carlyle , he played a young police officer in that series ,i think it was the second series of cracker but he was a really nice lad , he was mates with robert carlyle and he said that he rung him up one night for something while they were filming the episodes and when he answered the phone carlyle answered in a scouse accent as he was trying to stay in character ,funny huh
