I just had my one year anniversary away from the kingdom hall. I stopped going to the meetings in

December of 2001. I carn't say i've missed them much. A week ago i had a call from an elder saying

i had been missing from the meetings. He wanted to know if he could stop by. I was away from

home working and used this as my excuse. Any suggestions for the next time he calls?????????

Yeah. You're "busy" again, and could you please have his number so YOU can call HIM when you have the time to meet?

    And then don't call.

    outnfree, too!

I guess it depends on what you want. He's coming by to determine if you need to be "encouraged" (i.e., studied with and re-brainwashed) or if you've done something fun that will get you DF'd or if you want to disassociate yourself. He'll probably bring someone with him. So if you don't want to be DF'd or DA'd, I would recommend not answering your phone or the door. Get caller ID to screen your calls. Either the CO is coming by and they have to account for you, or (more likely) you're part of the roundup of inactive ones. There was a BOE letter that was sent out late last year that directed all elders to call on inactive people to get them to make a choice. Several people here have been attacked by the roving bands of elders and it appears you're in their sights now.

But I would recommend avoiding a meeting with them. Sooner or later they'll go away and leave you alone.
