I have a bad memory of exact years & cong names but I'm pretty sure my family name would ring a bell with a lot of ppl who might have been from these areas, my father (who I'm estranged from, he's still a JW) is a lawyer, he started in N.B. and then we moved to Ontario so he could work with Bethel, mostly on the blood cases.

N.S.- Halifax & Dartmouth- I spent summers there growing up and can't remember the exact congs we visited....my 2 aunts who later married lived there and my grandparents My sister also lived with my aunt & uncle for a few years.

N.B.- Fredericton- I forget the cong name & exact years but it was in the 80's. I do remember ppl tho. Before Fredericton (we moved there when I was 4) we lived in Moncton & Saint John, but since I was super young then I wouldn't remember anyone from there prolly. My cousin was Joshua Walker, semi-famous blood case, my father fought his medical case.

Ontario- Georgetown cong, we went to the hall right in the bethel complex for awhile. Then got our own hall in Erin, Ont.

I'm basically looking to hook up with anyone who remembers me. :) I've been pretty much alone since I left, being the first to go, then my mom and older sis followed, but the rest of the family are still JW's so we are naturally ignored. I am 24 & live in Que now, my sis and mom are in Ontario. Anyway, if any thing seems to click with you feel free to email me. :) I always look forward to hearing from others who have broken free. I've removed the names here but I will give them out via email.

    Hi again EarthyFire!

Just a word of caution... be careful with your name on the board... it's open to the public and if you're interested in retaining some privacy - well just be aware of that fact.

By the way, I was chatting on the phone with someone from the board tonight and your name came up in the conversation... it's all good You'll be hearing from them, I'm sure!

I probably know some other people from the Montreal area that you know. I grew up there and have family still "in" the org in the area. I was also in Halifax for a few years too. We'll have to compare notes!! I'll "e" you later....

    Love, Scully

I believe i saw your Dad out here on a custody case re. terry hartford and his JW wife . I know a Evelen Wah from N.Y. was here as well because we trird to get Jim Penton in as an expert witness but they shot us down by castigating Jim as being bitter. I had seen your dad when i was in Toronto and noticed that stern look of his

Hi, I will try and e-mail you later, I'm at work right now and my real name shows up, so since I'm still "in" the borg I can't risk it. If I don't know you I definitely know people who would know your family - long time Haligonians, forever in the truth and know everyone, plus ones from Georgetown, etc. Also was brought up in the Montreal area so am probably aware of the family.

I don't have internet yet at home so will try and make it to the nearest internet caf.

I was a JW in Montreal- One of my elders was a Ryder I cant remember his first name -But he had been in a Sanatorium with T.B. I remember that -because when I was complaining to him one time about the lack of love in that congregation he confided in me that when he was in there not one brother or sister came to see him or sent him cards or letters. but he said "Grace- WE-You & I must stay close to Jehovah because we have that LOVE" the younger Ryder left the "lie" while I was still a JW They said he went off his mind.
