Nicest in congregation

Okay, we've talked to death about the crazies in our congregations, and I'm sure we've discussed the grouches (read: BOE) but was there anyone in your congregation who was super-nice to you?

In my congregation (I was in the same one from birth to age 18 when I left) there was an older German couple who had a worldly daughter (grown up, moved out & married) and had a son with Down's Syndrome. They lived on a beautiful lake and always had the congregation picnic at their house. They were always so generous and friendly. Of course, they would have been that way even if they hadn't been JWs; some people are just nice while others are born grouches.

Anyone stand out in your mind?

Yes to many for me to remember- real nice folk- after all why would the devil lure rotton folk?

He choose the cream of the crop...after all weren't we there ( wink wink)

Well in thinking about this, I would have to say that I was the nicest person in the congregation! I hope this does not sound to presumptuous, but it's a fact. I treated myself very well too!

Our course we had some of the nicest Circuit Overseers that money could buy too!

I was in a congregation with Onacruse's parents and found them to be a cool couple. I really miss them.

Actually the congregations I went to had mostly really nice people just trying to get along and doing their JW thing. I never found there to be much of the cr*p that I read about on this board. However, I do understand that this has changed over the years, so I have no idea what is going on now.

    Blessings

There was one woman who was always nice to me. She had a son a little bit older than me, one a little bit younger, and a daughter about 7 years younger than me. She treated me like one of her own children, yet at the same time, she was a good friend. I called her my second mother, something my own mother hated. This woman was more of a mother to me than my mother. I miss her.

    starfish...

I know exactly the couple you're talking about - I can picture them clearly, I just can't for the life of me remember the name. (I'm not asking you to disclose it either... it's just gonna bug the heck out of me for a while! LOL) I used to see them at every district assembly.

    Love, Scully
