The Watchtower loves to quote 2Tim 3 as proof that we're living in the last days.
What Witnesses blindly ignore is the "lack of natural affection" their own organization
demands. Every appeal from the sociopaths who edit the Kingdom Ministry and Assembly
talks to shun your 'disloyal' relatives is proof of this. Most 'worldly' people would be
ashamed of deliberately trying to break up families BUT NOT THE WATCHTOWER!
The hypocrites who run the Watchtower Society ARE WELL AWARE of the possible disgrace
and bad image that might be engendered if the public became aware of their 'faithfulness
through hostage-taking' program - THAT'S WHY THEY TRY to cover up the matter with talk
about how 'loving' disfellowshipping is. THAT'S WHY they trot examples of shills who
talk about how 'loving' being shunned is. (Prisoners in Communist countries did this
too, often before being shot). In addition, this shunning is being extended to people
who just want to fade away quietly from the sterility of Witness life.
Witness children are raised in the knowledge that:
all non-Witness relatives are 'worldly' - and doomed to destruction if they don't
join the Watchtower -( also babysitters, teachers, police, the kids at school)
any friend or relative can be shunned completely anytime the elders order it.
the 'ministry' is all important - much more so than charity - and may be used
to avoid helping others ( "I have to go out in service"). Why do you think
the Watchtower had to keep reminding Witness to take care of elderly or sick
relatives? I KNOW THIS IS TRUE, FIRST HAND!
holidays are to be avoided - even if they are the only opportunity to SEE or EAT
with other family members.
And this is supposed to build strong families? This is supposed to create loving,
caring, thankful children who can hold jobs, build families themselves and become
a success in life?
Far from being examples of love, the Witness subculture dictates 'a lack of natural
affection' well beyond what 'worldly' people would accept. They seem hell-bent to
fufill this part of 2 Timothy all by themselves.
and 'having a form of Godly devotion, but proving false to its power'?
.......well, don't get me started!
