My grandson was involved in working accident this past Saturday and after waiting 2 hours before any doctor checked him out, they released him and told him to return Monday for a further check up. Well, Monday comes and after examination, they told him (different doctors) that he needed surgery because he had a hole in his intestine. My fleshly brother who is an elder and the blood committee went through their spiel with the blood issue. The doctor said, since he is 19 years of age, that is HIS decision? My grandson refuse the blood and after some hours of recovery from surgery, his grandmother (my wife) was allowed to see him, recognizing his grandmother, he slipped his hands from under covers to hold her hand. My wife stayed in the hand holding position throughout the night. I know that the intial hour or so is the most crucial after surgery. Though it was critical at first, he is stablizing.
Why the doctors release him with a hole in his intestine is irresponsible especially when one of the company employer's asked the doctors if he had any internal injuries. They told the employer that they know what their doing. Yeah, just like the women who's two breast were void of cancer were wrongfully removed. Most likely he will be staying with us (my wife and I) after being released from the hopspital. Once again, the friends will have to come to the home a disfellowshipped witness to see a fellow witness. The last time is when I took in my mother, and NOBODY in the cong. volunteered to take care of her including my fleshly younger brother who is an elder. I do what common sense dictates. I'll get more information to my grandson's condition as the day progresses, right now, he needs the rest to recover.
