In my previous post about losing one of my older brothers due to the elders insisting he attend an assembly against his doctor's advice, I should say that this happened in 1958 at a time when I was too young or aware to take any action, legal or otherwise. I had just been DF'd and only found out the details of the death at a family gathering after the funeral. I am sure he gave in to the pressure of the elders (not sure there were elders back then) as well as the family pressure to go along with the system. Alas, the pain of the loss has long since diminished but in light of some of the others sharing here and an indication that at least one of my older brotherrs has been surfing the net, I thought it worth a try to flush him/them out. On second thought, I'm sure they would not get a very good reception for being a part of this stupid decision and the obvious shadow it casts on the cult to which they belong.

Thanks for all your responses and expressions of compassion.

I am deeply sorry for the loss of your brother.. I am not sure what you are asking from us??

Is it that should you search you other brothers out or not??

If you do find them, and you want to have a relationship with them, it might help to think they at the time, they were under the "spell so to speak" of a cult....

Let them explain before you judge, remember, that is one of the main reasons most of us left the borg.

Kelps (sorry if this wasnt what you were searching for)
