Got our letter about Food Stamps. The interview is the 28th at 10:00. Hopefully we'll get approved. We're still packing and moving our business stuff. Hubby and I went out yesterday to see if we could get ads for the newspaper too. Reminds me of field service a bit except it is more pleasant. Lots of businesses are having a hard time and don't want to spend the ad dollars cause nobody has money to spend.
it's terribly cold here. will be glad when it warms up.

We had to use food stamps for awhile, during a recession in our area. It took so long to get them, but it fed us. Now, they have a card, like a debit card (my Mom gets a little bit of food stamp money every month), and it doesn't take nearly as long to get them.

I'm sorry that you have fallen on hard times. I hope that things will brighten up for you. Have you ever considered cleaning jobs? Whether office or residential it pays pretty well for a relatively low investment. Of course, the job is labor intensive, but it may be what you need to get you back in the black. The cleaning job that my wife and I have pays well and only takes us about 11/2 hours each night. It's a good supplement to our income.
