Seems like sexual abuse and other crimes are not indigenous to any one particular group--Catholics, Anglicans, Pentecostals, Mormons, Seventh Day Adventists, Salvation Army, etc. But not even Jehovah's Witnesses are exempt.

Good going Kenneson... I was too "lazy" to read thru the long list to search for any JWs. Is that what you did?
GRIGGS Eric John (SA, 1996). Adelaide Jehovah's Witness church elder. Convicted in Adelaide Supreme Court of deliberately committing fraud in 1988 while chairman and elder of Jehovah's Witness church in Adelaide. Court hears Griggs, who had belonged to church for 35 years, used 3 church halls, including Crafers Kingdom Hall, in Adelaide Hills, as partial security on $500,000 personal loan which blew out to $800,000. Court told scheme came unstuck when finance company threatened to sell church properties after Griggs unable to meet loan repayments.
NAME SUPPRESSED 6, 66 (QLD, 1994). QLD Jehovah's Witness church member. Appears in Brisbane Magistrates Court charged with 24 sex offences, including incest and indecent assault, involving adolescents, dating back to 1960s. Court hears defendant had allegations made against him at church meetings in 1972, 1993 and 1994. Judge told 6 elders, who attended these meetings, refused to give evidence in court on grounds they were "religiously bound" not to divulge "privileged" information. Judge rejects claims. In 1994, defendant's wife, 62, also appears in Brisbane Magistrates Court charged with carnal knowledge against nature and deprivation of liberty. (R Quinlan CM 941103)
SMEDLEY Derek Neil, 44 (WA, 1998). Perth Jehovah's Witness church member. Receives 9 year jail sentence in WA District Court after being convicted on 5 counts of indecent assault against stepdaughter, aged 12 to 14, between 1984 and 1987 at Gnangara, Heathridge, Kingsley, Northam and Wanneroo, WA. Court hears Smedley, of Heathridge, sexually assaulted stepdaughter at Northam during construction of Jehovah's Witness Kingdom Hall.
SOUTER Robert Leslie, 46 (NSW, 2000). Wollongong Jehovah's Witness church member. Receives maximum 5 year jail sentence in Wollongong District Court after pleading guilty to 5 sex charges, including 1 count of buggery and 4 of indecent assault, against 2 teenage boys between 1978 and 1980. Court hears Souter, who attended Jehovah's Witness Corrimal congregation at Balgownie, assaulted victims while on beach and Blue Mountains church outings. Court told church elders told of offences in 1990 but failed to contact police. Judge criticises church for failing to report criminal activity, saying church may have spiritual responsibility but it does not exceed state authority.

Ah, yes, Jehovah's Witnesses: squeeky clean, above suspicion, teachers of righteousness, followers of Jesus the Christ, loved by God who will see them through the great and terrible end of the world and usher them into the paradise earth where they will continue to screw little girls and fill the earth with inbred monsters.
