I was in the house with her for all of the last week of her life. She went quietly and peacefully and had people that cared a lot for her around at the end. She and Dad touched a lot of lives in very positive ways.  Not the least of which was the fact that she made sure I was still part of the family even after I joined a religious cult.

Here are two articles, last time I did this some people had trouble linking The Hutch website so I put up a news article too.

Gentle commiseration to you, my Friend; to the family, and to all those who mourn

    her passing.

My grandfather once told me, he felt like as long as he was loved and remembered fondly, he was as close to immortal as he could comfortably tolerate:)

Each of us can only hope there is someone as caring as you who'll herald our passing with the same loving cocern as you've shone here.

    Be strong, my Friend!

Just read about her (& him). Very sorry. Interesting account. When things settle down, please tell us a little more. Did she or he believe in a creator? Was either religious? Did they ever discuss such with you?

Jeff, I am so sorry for your loss.

Thank you for the links you provided so that I could read more about this special woman.

I just went back and read a lot of your writings here (Stories 1-5) as well as your blog.

You have a gift as a writer.
